There are many things that set me apart from other event planners and wedding coordinators in the game today.

1. I do not limit the number of hours I am willing to work on your event in my contract. As long as it takes to make sure your event is executed flawlessly is how long I will be there to make it happen.

2. I make myself available to my clients from the moment they book me. I’m available to every client all the time, not just the month prior or day-of.

3. Many planners and coordinators charge clients for vendor recommendations — I will NEVER charge you for a referral. While I can’t guarantee another vendors’ products or services, I can certainly suggest vendors that will work well together to create the vision you have in mind.

How do you determine your pricing?

I determine my pricing based on your event’s guest count, set-up requirements, total budget, and the planning hours involved and hours worked on the event day.

Do you do events outside Louisville?

Yes! I love doing events outside of Louisville and even Kentucky. Let’s chat!

Do you charge for an initial consultation?

No! I am more than happy to meet with you in person or over the phone at no cost to discuss my services and how they might be able to meet your needs. I believe that getting to know my clients personally before starting the planning and execution process allows me to understand their vision and come up with creative ways to meet their goals. It’s important for both client and planner to feel comfortable bouncing ideas off of each other and asking detailed questions to make sure everything is just right. How soon should I book your services?

The sooner the better. I do not put a limit on my future scheduling, which means I accept requests for events no matter how far in advance they are. Some of my clients have booked me almost two years prior to their event date. It is best to request a consultation as soon as you’re interested to guarantee availability for your timeframe. Additionally, if you book early, I can help you prioritize what steps to take first in the planning process.

Do you have an assistant?

Typically, I work alone and take pride in being the sole event representative to make sure your day runs as smoothly as possible. However, there are some instances where an assistant is necessary. Events with more than 300 guests or multiple locations may require me to hire an assistant. I have a group of trusted colleagues that I rely on in these situations. This is something we would discuss as we get into the detailed planning stages of your event. Rest assured that I will always remain your main point of contact and that you will always be in good hands.

I don’t have an event date or venue yet, and I am unsure how to begin. Are you able to help me?

I’m more than happy to meet with you to discuss what type of event you’d like to plan as well as what goals you would like to achieve. While I can certainly provide venue feedback based on experience, I would need to know your event date before executing a contract. I schedule some events more than one year out, so I want to be sure I am available to you before we get involved in the planning process.

What if I need services not listed on my contract?

I’m more than willing to add or take away pieces of the contract to fit your needs — just ask! My goal is to make your experience unique to you, and everyone’s needs are different. I like to keep an open line of communication with my clients to ensure I am covering everything they may need.

Do you have general liability insurance?

Yes. There are some venues that require their location to be added as an additional insured, which can be easily added to my insurance policy.

Do I really need a wedding coordinator?

There are so many reasons why hiring a wedding coordinator is one of the most important investments you can make for your big day. Just a few are below:

• It may seem simple, but the setup and breakdown of receptions are very time consuming, especially if you need to flip your space. I know just how you want everything — where each table belongs, what linens you’re providing, how you want the gift table to look, and more. Having someone set everything up while you enjoy your day, as well as clean up after your event, is a huge help.

• Rehearsal execution allows your bridal party and your family the opportunity to ask questions and know exactly where they need to be and when. This allows your ceremony to remain sacred and seamless.

• I manage every single vendor, providing them with the vision and details they need to execute your day while creating positive working relationships. I become the main point of contact on your wedding week and weekend. Troubleshooting with vendors should not be on the bride’s agenda.

• My favorite part of wedding planning is creating the wedding day timeline. This is a minute-by-minute schedule of events. Sound crazy? Maybe so, but there’s nothing worse than being a guest at a wedding where time seems to drag on without movement or entertainment.

• I act as a sounding board for your ideas. Not sure how to make the wedding unique to you? Feeling indecisive? Someone with experience can bring valid suggestions and information you may not be aware of such as things to avoid and how to keep guests entertained.

• Most importantly, I am there so that you can enjoy every second of the most important day of your life. You and your family should not have to lift a finger on the wedding day. I can make your dreams come to life while you sip on your mimosa and prepare to marry the love of your life, without a worry that things won’t go as planned. This is a special day, and that’s exactly how you should feel. The number one goal is to make the entire day an unforgettable experience for both you and your guests!
